Checking, also by inspection, the analytical accuracy of laboratories within the network of the Breeders Associations and training and updating laboratory technicians and staff.

Production of reference material and certified reference material:

  • fat, protein, lactose, casein, total solids and urea standards in cow milk; fat, protein, lactose and urea standards in buffalo, sheep and goat milk;
  • somatic cell standards;
  • standards in powdered milk certified for determining proteins;
  • milk standards certified for determining urea content;
  • standards for Aflatoxins on milk;
  • carrying out proficiency tests  for comparison of analysis results:
    • determining fat and protein content with according to reference methods  on raw milk, two times per year.
    • determining fat, protein, lactose, somatic cell content, antibacterial substances , freezing point, pH and urea, total solids by routine methods (IR) on raw milk, 4 times per year.
    • determining urea content on high heat treated milk, 4 times per year.
    • determining bacteria content on lyophilized milk, 4 times per year.
    • determining somatic cell content on high heat treated milk, 4 times per year.
    • detection of Micotoxins in milk and corn flour, 2 times per year.
    • determining fat, protein, NaCl, moistuire, pH, ash on cheeses, 2 times per year.
