According to Art . 3 of Law n. 30 of the 15th January, 1991 on
the regulation of animal reproduction, the Anagraphic Register keeping of local
cattle breeds at limited distribution is supervised by AIA and regulated by a
ad hoc Disciplinary according to relevant
European legislation. This Register guarantees the safeguard and
preservation of breeds that are not included in any national programme selection.
